About the Movie

Set during the early years of American involvement in World War II, Greyhound follows Commander Ernest Krause, an experienced naval officer undertaking his first command of a U.S. Navy destroyer.

Krause is assigned to lead an international convoy of 37 Allied ships carrying thousands of soldiers and essential military supplies across the North Atlantic Ocean.

Their destination is Great Britain, where the supplies and personnel are urgently needed to support the Allied war effort.

However, the convoy must pass through one of the most dangerous areas of the Atlantic, a stretch of ocean known as the Black Pit.

For several days, the ships will be beyond the protective range of Allied aircraft, leaving them vulnerable to attacks from German submarines.

As the convoy enters this dangerous region, Krause and his crew discover that a coordinated group of Nazi U-boats is tracking their movements.

The German submarines begin launching attacks, threatening to destroy the merchant vessels and the military supplies they carry.

Aboard the USS Keeling, code-named Greyhound, Krause must coordinate defensive maneuvers, identify submarine positions, and make critical decisions under extreme pressure.

With limited resources, exhausted sailors, and constant enemy threats, every decision could determine the survival of hundreds of people.

As the attacks intensify, Krause struggles with the enormous responsibility of command.

His leadership is tested by difficult tactical choices, the physical exhaustion of continuous combat, and the emotional burden of protecting the convoy.

Despite overwhelming odds, Krause refuses to abandon his mission.

Through determination, discipline, and cooperation with the other escort ships, he leads his crew through a relentless battle against the hidden enemy beneath the Atlantic.

Greyhound offers a suspenseful portrayal of the courage and sacrifice required to protect Allied shipping during one of World War II’s most important naval campaigns.
